Why does Turkish use Ö?
Turkey borrowed them from the German alphabet and added them to their alphabet in the 70's. The 'Ä, Ö, Ü' are not “sometimes” written 'Ae, Oe, Ue' as someone wrote but it's actually the “old German” way of writing Umlaute.May 9, 2018
